2014 updates!

Yes yes, I know it is already February but hey, in all fairness, I’m a Chinese and it is STILL Chinese New Year so, yay!! I am right on track!! Hehehe…

    Can’t believe I started work on Monday when most others are still enjoying, celebrating and partying.. Oh wells, I had fun too in clinics unbelievably… Hope it’ll last for a long long time, this love for my job and the patients.. One day it will surely lose its shine and I will be demotivated, but hopefully when I look back, I will remember my first love of being a dentist… Somehow I have a feeling I will continue to be this happy-go-lucky girl right to the end though… Hehe, there you have it, my neverending optimism!!

    Anyway, it’s been a long while since I posted a photo so here goes, one on my Bali trip last week!!! Whee~ Happy New Year everybody!! *Fine, a happy CHINESE new year… sheesh, you ppl are sure specific and petty, hehehehe*

Updates

After my last post on finally, wonderfully, successfully, ultimately, happily…. *you get the drift* becoming a dentist, I’ve not updated this blog for quite some time. Reason being I’m too busy…enjoying life to the fullest… Bwahaha…. So yes, just a quick update with pictures and I’m done!! At least this way you’ll know why I am MIA for the time being!! So yup, till we meet again, bye bye!!

PS For jealous people out there reading this post, fret not, this happy time of mine won’t last for long.. Soon I’d be busy working so life would be fair all over again k?? =p

CNY celebration!!!

I’m so HAPPY this whole week because it’s Chinese New Year-CNY!!!! Other than food, food, food and more food, there’s fun, fun and much more fun!!!! Okay, the downside being gaining pounds which I shall have to shed soon and being an inactive couch potato with a bigger butt…But then hey, it’s CNY!!!!! Whee!!!!!

So yes, eating out is the norm during festive holiday season but I shall dedicate this post to what my mum cooked during this period. I’m telling you it’s 10-stars standard, people!!!  So proud of her…(And also she’ll stop cooking if I don’t show some appreciation… ROFL… Just kidding!!!! She has such dedication and awesome cooking skills, and has been cooking for us since when we were young so all of my siblings n I grew to abnormal Asian height… I mean, I’m a girl and I’m taller than 5’7’’!!! Hmm…. Well, I shall ask her to write a cook-book entitled “Food for Growth..Literally!!” soon.. Any interested buyers?? I shall offer a discounted price to the 1st 10 buyers with her signatures on the cover. Is that a good deal or what??)

So yes, I can’t recount the times in the past others had ask my siblings and I what did my mum fed us to be so tall and healthy.. We never knew how to answer then since we just, well, ate, but now that I looked at just the pictures, hey, no wonder!!! Lol… It’s true that pictures speak a thousand words!!!

Post exam holiday!!

Let me start off this happy post by saying, we finished our one week of exam!!!!
…..and……
jumped straight to play-mode!!! Woohoo!!! Just after finishing our last paper, which is a practical assessment with live stations,  we didn’t even wait to rest and went to have a fun time in Penang with roller-blading,(which I suck at sadly, just like ice-skating. Lol. There’s just something wrong with me on movable shoes. LOL) food and movie!!!

As if travelling from Sp to Penang, from Penang back to SP wasn’t enough, we went from SP to Perlis the next day. Talk about 瞬间移动！ Hehe… 

It was my first time being there and I’m having such a blast relaxing in Rachel’s super big house!!! I thought I was gonna get lost in her house alright?? It was THAT big!!! Haha, ok, fine, exaggerating a bit but it’s real big!! @.@ *Wide eyes*

So yes, the group of us comprising of Rachel, Youming, Gary, Kai Xin, Yee Wen and I went all over the place in Perlis having fun. We even went near the border and got some duty free chocolates. Okay, by some, I meant a hundred plus ringgit for me. If not for not having enough cash on me, I think I would have gone even more crazy. Lol.. I mean, check out what I bought!! Confirmed shopaholic. *stamp of authenticity*

Even bought myself a cute bag.. I got this bag because of that bear…. Hehehe… Cute right??? It was calling out to be adopted by me I’m telling you!!! Lol…So yeah, if you know me, you’d know I can’t stray far from food so check out the food we ate!!! Do drop by for some special Perlis ‘ikan bakar’ by the beach.. Mm mm!! You could even take a ferry to the Langkawi island just beside the stretch of restaurants..
In conclusion, this is how I spent my time after the exams!! You say it’s not much of a difference than how I spent my time before the exam?? Well….. Bingo!!! You got that right!!! Hahaha…. Oh wells, what can I say, 'whoops, I did it again’?? Lol…

Now now, this is just the start!! I AM myself jealous of…well, ourselves.. Lol… Oh, how oh how long must I take this journey of cooking before I gain enough experience to cook like my mum?? You’re awesome mummy!!!

Okay, then straight after celebrating Christmas, we flew to Sabah for our family trip!!! I’ll just let the photos speak for themselves!!

Wonderful right??? Hehehe… This is how we Lees party!!! Had great fun over the month…. But… *ba ba bam*

Now that I’m back…reality starts to sink in…. Oh dear, when am I gonna start studying for my exam????!! *gasp* Haha….

2011 comes to an end..

Yes, it’s that time of the year every year where I celebrate birthday, 冬至, Christmas and New Year holiday-package-combo in just almost a week. Ain’t it fun? This time around I didn’t get to spend it with my usual group of ppl. But I thank Gerviene, Shih Lin, Rachel, Youming and Soo Huan for spending my b’day with me. It was MUCH better than spending it all cooped up in my room alone…most probably sleeping or watching shows… Lol… And my presents… Hehe… I totally love all the sincere cards and practical gifts for me. I think I’m at that age where I get all sentimental receiving written wishes and blessings... Lol.. Few years from now, I’ll probably get all mushy and cry looking at my gifts… And further down the road…..

Hahahaha…. I can almost imagine this progressive evolvement change…. LOL!!!

THANK YOU EVERYONE!!!

On another note, this was our fully DIY gift box for Youming!!! Everything, the gift contents inside, our b’day card, and the box was handmade!! Inside out!! SO proud!!! Looks oh-so-fine doesn’t it?? And yes, to prove the authenticity of our creativity and sincerity, you can see one part without the wrapper. Haha… Sign of it being genuine. And her gift?? Weighs by the kilogram. Lol… What is it you ask?? Well…. That shall be a funny memory and secret for Rachel and I…

So yup, everyone, have a merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!

PS I’m on study break for my upcoming exams yet I’m travelling to Sabah few days from now!! I think I should refrain from going anywhere else.. But then, the fact that I’m in KL now is SOMEwhere in itself… O Lord, help me to study well for the exam?? Yet…. I’ll go play 1st for now!!

Prof Hong ginseng chicken soup Korean shop…again!!

   If you’ve read my previous post, you’d have noticed that I’ve nothing but praise for this shop… I mean, the food is unbelievably good, the service is unbelievably fast, the price is reasonable and the owner there is unbelievably nice so, if I don’t go for it again since I’m back in KL would be…. UNBELIEVABLE right?? Hehehe… Also the fact that the owner always says I’m pretty and gives us extra food…. Lol….. Do do do do do go check it out ppl if you’re in Ampang Korean village… I’m like the unofficial food ambassador around….

      Suddenly remembering that the last time we went, my dad had to skip watching a football match (without supporting his team) in order to eat with us and this time, it happened again… Haha… I have this ability to choose when to eat whenever his favourite team is playing… Who by the way, lost again this time…. So yes, I spared him the heartache…. again….. Hahahaha….

       Oh, there’s a fun fair around my place since just last week!! yay!! I’ve never been to one since ages ago and we didn’t go to the one in SP after our movie night for Real Steel (which is an awesome show!!!) so I’m so excited!!  And found the place so stuffy and full of ppl smoking cigarettes I might as well stand behind a lorry exhaust pipe… Sheesh… Such a disappointment… And boy, aren’t the tokens getting expensive!! It costs RM4 to get on any ride or play any booth games!! Total cutthroats!! Ended up not doing anything but went one round sucking in smokes… and sweat… EWWWW….. Hahaha…. Oh well, at least I can say, I went to a fun fair recently… Kekeke…

Awesome Sabah trip

Went for Community Oral Health posting last week to Sabah, a land I wish really much to visit again, BUT, hopefully not for the 3 years government service.. Hehe… It’s been my second visit there and I’ve YET to climb Mount KK… Lazy*ahem*rear gear, you’ve got to gear up real soon dear… lol.. Putting that aside, Sabah is a seriously nice place to be at.. It has everything in KL, well, almost, that you need in a much more relaxed state… Time just moves reeeeeEEEEEEAAAAALLLLL slow here…Case example:

Day 1-after finishing our formal business
Person 1: hey, it’s just 5 plus, wanna go out for dinner and shop a bit??
Everyone: Well, sure, since we have nothing on for the rest of the day anyways..
Went for the night market near the Filipino market, bought fruits, snacks, souvenirs, ate a wholesome seafood dinner with whole big coconuts and walked home
Person 2: I’ll bathe 1st!!
Person 3: Next is me!!
etc etc pre bed rituals…
Person 4: *yawns* I’m so sleepy, it’s gotta be 10-11pm now right??
Person 5: Duh, there’s 7 girls and 2 boys fighting for TWO bathrooms.. The waiting time itself is gonna be crazy long k?
Person 4: I guess so..
Person 6: Oh my gosh!! Guess what ppl, it’s not even 8pm yet!!
Everyone: You’re totally kidding right??
*checks watches, handphones for time frantically*
Everyone- *Eyes opened so wide it’s almost humanly impossible*

LOL… Real life story, people!! The next few days after that we shopped at Centre Point, went McDonalds, went for yumcha sessions, night markets etc and no matter what, it will never be over 10pm when we reached home.. And this is us WALKING everywhere… and after SUPPER… Ended up all the night owls in our group cleaned up their acts and slept early for a week… The POWER of Sabah…. Hahaha….
I think it’s because of the way the sun rises up at 5am plus and sets around 6pm… I thought we were late for our clinic visit the 1st day when I saw the day so bright outside our window and everyone still sleeping soundly when it was, can you believe it, 6am++ It’s been ages since I woke up at that time… And even then I needed my dad to shake me awake..Lol.. I miss those days….

So yup, here’s a quick introduction to Sabah!!

Here’s to the great times I’ve had with Zi Wei, Rachel Lee, Qi Shan, Su Hean, Agnes, Chin Kai, Jo En, Youming, cheers!!! A BIG shoutout to Andy Shu, Narjit, and our two drivers… Without you, it’s impossible for the trip to be this memorable.. Thank YOU!!!!

And finally, what’s my blog for if not a place for me to act cute a bit huh?? It is after all, MY blog right? Hehe…
