Awesome Sabah trip

Went for Community Oral Health posting last week to Sabah, a land I wish really much to visit again, BUT, hopefully not for the 3 years government service.. Hehe… It’s been my second visit there and I’ve YET to climb Mount KK… Lazy*ahem*rear gear, you’ve got to gear up real soon dear… lol.. Putting that aside, Sabah is a seriously nice place to be at.. It has everything in KL, well, almost, that you need in a much more relaxed state… Time just moves reeeeeEEEEEEAAAAALLLLL slow here…Case example:

Day 1-after finishing our formal business
Person 1: hey, it’s just 5 plus, wanna go out for dinner and shop a bit??
Everyone: Well, sure, since we have nothing on for the rest of the day anyways..
Went for the night market near the Filipino market, bought fruits, snacks, souvenirs, ate a wholesome seafood dinner with whole big coconuts and walked home
Person 2: I’ll bathe 1st!!
Person 3: Next is me!!
etc etc pre bed rituals…
Person 4: *yawns* I’m so sleepy, it’s gotta be 10-11pm now right??
Person 5: Duh, there’s 7 girls and 2 boys fighting for TWO bathrooms.. The waiting time itself is gonna be crazy long k?
Person 4: I guess so..
Person 6: Oh my gosh!! Guess what ppl, it’s not even 8pm yet!!
Everyone: You’re totally kidding right??
*checks watches, handphones for time frantically*
Everyone- *Eyes opened so wide it’s almost humanly impossible*

LOL… Real life story, people!! The next few days after that we shopped at Centre Point, went McDonalds, went for yumcha sessions, night markets etc and no matter what, it will never be over 10pm when we reached home.. And this is us WALKING everywhere… and after SUPPER… Ended up all the night owls in our group cleaned up their acts and slept early for a week… The POWER of Sabah…. Hahaha….
I think it’s because of the way the sun rises up at 5am plus and sets around 6pm… I thought we were late for our clinic visit the 1st day when I saw the day so bright outside our window and everyone still sleeping soundly when it was, can you believe it, 6am++ It’s been ages since I woke up at that time… And even then I needed my dad to shake me awake..Lol.. I miss those days….

So yup, here’s a quick introduction to Sabah!!

Here’s to the great times I’ve had with Zi Wei, Rachel Lee, Qi Shan, Su Hean, Agnes, Chin Kai, Jo En, Youming, cheers!!! A BIG shoutout to Andy Shu, Narjit, and our two drivers… Without you, it’s impossible for the trip to be this memorable.. Thank YOU!!!!

And finally, what’s my blog for if not a place for me to act cute a bit huh?? It is after all, MY blog right? Hehe…

Ahh moments

     Looking at the photos of people stranded and victims injured or dead during Japan’s earthquake and tsunami in print and hearing the cries of shock, disbelief and terror on footage over the weekend makes me feel really grateful…  Ahh… It is truly home sweet home after all…

     And then you spot Datuk Lee Chong Wei’s radiant smile as he lifts up the much coveted All-England men’s singles trophy.. Ahh.. We still have that harimau spirit burning in us yet. Malaysia ^still boleh!!

     Had a great weekend with my family again in Penang and Alor Setar so ahhh…. How I wish I can do this every week… It was so fun, relaxing and nice….

     Then thinking back at times where I had complained just a tiny bitsy bit on this and that, I came to see… I guess though one can’t change the world, one’s mindset can change one’s world so… Ahh… I can still find some ways to change my world to see the world huh??

And then lastly…

Ahhh… It’s back to school again… Oh, the anti climax….

Mix & match

    Oh dear me.. It’s been so so long since I’ve last written so here goes a mesh-up of stuffs… Hehe… Let’s see, it’s been since Chinese New Year that I haven’t posted so spare me for this super backdated post… 
     Some of the dishes my super mum made for 团圆餐..yum.. Scallops baked in cheese, fried butter prawns, 4 seasons, sharkfin soup etc.. There were say 7-8 dishes on the table that day but since I was too hungry, I dug into and ate the food without finishing taking pictures of them all… Hahaha….. Whoops…

      So then I’ll jump off to what’s happening recently in our dental faculty, our annual ADSAlympics where everyone is forced to squeeze out their sporty talents no matter how big or small to do something for their batch.. As for me, I have no sports juice in me whatsoever so I’m in funny events like cheerleading, chess, lontar peluru and tug-of-war.. LOL… I do think it’s rofl-material to take part in these events in a sports competition.. Sigh… Oh wells, do what we can when we can right?? Hehe.. We lost this year in cheer though… *cries* But then, to be able to pull off everything with just 2 weeks of practice is a feat big enough so… at least we look hot don’t we?? Hahahaha…. To the other batches, you all did an amazing job too!!! *applause*

To end this post for now, just wanna show you the latest addition to SP Village Mall… Macaroons!!!! Can’t believe they opened a French pattisiere here… (⊙o⊙) It IS happening here in SP after all!!!

PESD(post-exam-stress-syndrome)?? *fr PTSD*

     After our exam ended 2 weeks ago, I’ve been in a dazed and confused mode… It’s like we’re all locked in a parallel world between two universe, not able to focus on anything!! We’reI’m not 100% in ourmy studies or clinics, and till now I feel like I haven’t recover from exam yet… It’s not that we didn’t enjoy, (I kinda overdid that part a bit even,) hehe, but it’s just so hard not to keep yearning and craving to get back home straight!! Argh.. Hate this kinda waiting, no wait, I dislike ANY type of waiting actually.. lol..

     Oh wells, in the meantime, I’m swept up by the Secret-Garden-Korean-series waves!! Such a nice romance-comedy show with its uniquely funny story plot and awesome main leads(read=hot, handsome and pretty casts!!)  Too bad it ended too soon… Loved it so very much!!! Please do go watch it if you haven’t already??!! Go go go go GOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

     So yup, next up we’ll be very busy and hardworking for cheerleading again this year!!! Wish us the best so we can beat the rest alrights?? Hehehe… This is coming from us who haven’t even thought about the choreography of the cheer for the competition which is in say less than 3 weeks time away?? Optimistically unrealistic huh, dear old Batch 3?? Haha.. But I still firmly believe we’ll make it!!!

Birthdays celebration!!

Okay, so by the time you read this, it should be about Christmas but still, a celebration  is a celebration nonetheless so. . . birthday 1st!!!

    So started celebrating from SP with my classmates, then in Pahang with my  extended family then in TGIF’s with my family… Woohoo!! I have the longest birthday ever!! Lol…

Goodbye trusted sidekick, oh C902..

    As some of you would have known by now, we dental peeps had a dental dinner last Sat at Equatorial Hotel, Penang last Saturday… It was themed as Vespertine and no, I didn’t know what it meant till I got the ticket so google or wiki it ok, ye modern ppl!!! Lol… It was a really really awesome event with everything happening so perfectly nice, (thanks to Gerv and everyone else in the committee) it was like a dreamy-Cinderella-dancing-with-her-prince-fairytale… Oh, talking about dancing, we did the whole Miss A’s-Good Girl Bad Girl dance routine on stage well enough too!! Woohoo!! Though it wasn’t REALLY flawless, it was real fun though.. Hehe..

Ok, so back to the fairytale part, everything was so nice it was one of the best dinner nights I had…

But…

I did lose my phone… AGAIN…. ARGH!!! Cried my heart and eyeballs out for hours when the reality started to sink in… *cries again just thinking about the loss*
It wasn’t so much about the phone -yes, it did matter as well- but it was the things stored inside the phone.. My THOUSANDS of photos… and THOUSANDS of messages.. And HUNDREDS of songs.. and HUNDREDS of contacts… memos, reminders and calendar… and THOUSANDS of photos (okay, so it was more heart-wrenching losing my photos to someone else… *totally sickening*) Sigh… To the cruel thief, I hope u have rotten teeth for the rest of your life… Unless you deleted EVERYTHING inside the phone before use or selling it off… HMPH….

I’m sorry, wonderful loving and forgiving parents, that I did this to you guys…again.. And thank you for being the most kind hearted ppl that you two always are… I do so very LOVE you two…. *sobs*

So goodbye, dear C902… I miss you very very much…

To save a life..

     I’m really really really disheartened yesterday… Witnessed the aftermath of a fatal accident just outside my university campus and the motocyclist died on the spot from the impact.. The car on the opposite lane skidded due to the heavy rain and lost control or something and killed this innocent guy.. And he was just 20+ years old… I dunno why but I left the scene after a while, after seeing him lying there in his own pool of blood… Under the rain, shielded by our umbrellas.. We didn’t know he was dead then but tried to help out anyways.. I was so sad for him… I pray that his family would get over his death soon.. It’ll be hard I’m sure but I hope time would erase bad memories and all the heartaches….

      It’s been so long I felt so morose over things.. I mean, even when someone crashed my car front and back I was still being really positive but THIS… Sigh, I’m lucky I didn’t take up forensic science after all… I was so crazy about CSI and admire how cool everything was and how they caught the criminal culprits that I wanted to be a part of it back then… Then I found out that they didn’t show the many,many, many, many long hours they’d spent in the labs to try to find something of use.. Me being me, I couldn’t even sit still and stay quiet for long so… *raise white flag* Hehe… Death wouldn’t faze me but the hurt and pain it brings… *shivers* I can’t take it.. I’m compassionate huh?? Empathic… Hehe… Yet helpless all the same… Sigh.. I wish there’s air-medical-support in Malaysia though, where helicopters could be used to save ppl… Sometimes, the delay in traffic and what-nots could cost a life… Sigh…. All in all, my heart goes out to all accident victims and their families.. To all other road users, do be very very very cautious, careful and safe when you’re on the road, as the saying goes, biarkan lambat asalkan selamat right??
