New post, Tai Zi Heen review
For it to be a food blog, I lack the food;
for it to be a fashion blog, I lack the patience to have ootd and potd uploaded frequently;
for it to be a thinking and sophisticated blog, I lack the flow of eloquence.
Basically it just means I lack the conviction and discipline to make this a one minded blog.
So you're left with.... me being me here... Hehe...
On another totally different note, went to eat at Tai Zi Heen yesterday. Heard all about it being one of the top 5 halal dim sum establishments in KL. Was so hyped up and excited over the experience of trying a new place that I actually glided over to the place. To give them credit, Pullman Hotel KL looks pretty nice inside, which was to be expected as after all, it is a 4 stars hotel. The same couldn't be said for their parking lot though, it looks dirty and dark, a place where monsters lurk at night... *brrrr* And the parking rate was RM7 flat rate if you dine in.
They have a choice of about 45 dishes separated into different categories of appetizers(cold dish), hot from the wok, fried dim sums, steamed dim sums, and desserts. At first glance, it wasn't that much of a choice but hey, quality over quantity right? But nope. TZH failed in both aspect. Don't know whether it's because we're like the acting connoisseur of food or it is really due to the big letdown by TZH. The dim sum tasted like things made using instant or canned/tinned ingredients, with the flour or starch more overpowering than the meat used. Have tasted much better ones at normal dim sum joints not even in hotel. The only thing I likes was the stir fried chicken. Yup. At a dim sum place, that dish was the saving feature.Am usually not that cruel with reviews yet TZH really dealt us a real blow. We didn't order repeat of any of the dish. That would be how I'd describe this place. No second chance.

Post exam holiday!!
Let me start off this happy post by saying, we finished our one week of exam!!!!
…..and……
jumped straight to play-mode!!! Woohoo!!! Just after finishing our last paper, which is a practical assessment with live stations, we didn’t even wait to rest and went to have a fun time in Penang with roller-blading,(which I suck at sadly, just like ice-skating. Lol. There’s just something wrong with me on movable shoes. LOL) food and movie!!!
Me looking very happy in the car on the way to Penang.. Yay!!! You can feel my excitement right?? Hahaha…
As if travelling from Sp to Penang, from Penang back to SP wasn’t enough, we went from SP to Perlis the next day. Talk about 瞬间移动! Hehe…
It was my first time being there and I’m having such a blast relaxing in Rachel’s super big house!!! I thought I was gonna get lost in her house alright?? It was THAT big!!! Haha, ok, fine, exaggerating a bit but it’s real big!! @.@ *Wide eyes*
So yes, the group of us comprising of Rachel, Youming, Gary, Kai Xin, Yee Wen and I went all over the place in Perlis having fun. We even went near the border and got some duty free chocolates. Okay, by some, I meant a hundred plus ringgit for me. If not for not having enough cash on me, I think I would have gone even more crazy. Lol.. I mean, check out what I bought!! Confirmed shopaholic. *stamp of authenticity*
Even bought myself a cute bag.. I got this bag because of that bear…. Hehehe… Cute right??? It was calling out to be adopted by me I’m telling you!!! Lol…

Prof Hong ginseng chicken soup Korean shop…again!!
If you’ve read my previous post, you’d have noticed that I’ve nothing but praise for this shop… I mean, the food is unbelievably good, the service is unbelievably fast, the price is reasonable and the owner there is unbelievably nice so, if I don’t go for it again since I’m back in KL would be…. UNBELIEVABLE right?? Hehehe… Also the fact that the owner always says I’m pretty and gives us extra food…. Lol….. Do do do do do go check it out ppl if you’re in Ampang Korean village… I’m like the unofficial food ambassador around….
Suddenly remembering that the last time we went, my dad had to skip watching a football match (without supporting his team) in order to eat with us and this time, it happened again… Haha… I have this ability to choose when to eat whenever his favourite team is playing… Who by the way, lost again this time…. So yes, I spared him the heartache…. again….. Hahahaha….
Oh, there’s a fun fair around my place since just last week!! yay!! I’ve never been to one since ages ago and we didn’t go to the one in SP after our movie night for Real Steel (which is an awesome show!!!) so I’m so excited!! And found the place so stuffy and full of ppl smoking cigarettes I might as well stand behind a lorry exhaust pipe… Sheesh… Such a disappointment… And boy, aren’t the tokens getting expensive!! It costs RM4 to get on any ride or play any booth games!! Total cutthroats!! Ended up not doing anything but went one round sucking in smokes… and sweat… EWWWW…..
Hahaha…. Oh well, at least I can say, I went to a fun fair recently… Kekeke…
So yeah, that’s it for now…. Gonna show you my new look after my salon trip??
My look as of now…
What should I do with my hair though ppl, any ideas??

Trip to Prof Hong Ginseng Chicken Soup Restaurant-Ampang
So yes, if you’ve been following my blog, you’d know that my last post was on one spring chicken… *Lol* Well, my family and I went there on Saturday night to try out the place.. Since I’m such a Korean crazed fan, you’d better trust my judgement on all things Korean… from a local Malaysian standpoint of course… =p
My dad was kinda reluctant to go at 1st since he wanted to watch Malaysia-Singapore fight it out on the football field but then, anything for his daughter right?? *Aww…..* Btw, I’ve managed to reserve a place using Korean without stammering, a great feat huh?? Hahaha… But I got caught anyways since the boss’ wife went out to see me coz I can speak Korean so well… *Sigh, busted…* But she gave us 2 Kimchi fried rice for free since I’m very pretty!!! Woohoo!!!! Hey, her words, not mine…. *So happy I can fly off* But almost every other Korean either says I have “Korean features” or else I’m pretty… Therefore, I conclude that Koreans have an affinity for my face!!!! Hahahahaha…. Ok, ok, lame but I guess they like my baby face… ( According to my younger sister’s friend… Imagine hearing that from someone younger by 10 years…. =.=” ) Oh wells, at least they didn’t say anything negative so…
About the food, I AM so IN LOVE with this place!!!! Everything was so to my taste I can’t believe it!! The ginseng chicken soup would be bland to others but since I’m such an advocate for healthy food if it’s a choice so, OH YEAH, this place is !!! Other than the octopus stew noodle which was not my thing, all others were so nice I can’t say anything bad about them… Usually, we would be on our 2nd round of side-dishes before our main dishes come out but this place was so fast we haven’t even tasted the kimchi and the main food came steaming out, literally!! And the waiters?? Friendly and customer conscious… Totally make you feel at ease and so quick on their feet you need not ask them for anything…. It’s like they were trained so perfectly they can read minds… Lol….
Conclusion is, I’m gonna come back here again and again!!!! Honestly, do give it a try, it’s my newest favourite Korean place right now!! 2nd would be Zen which is also nearby…. Do ask me about more information k?? I’d be glad to share!!!!

Mix & match
Oh dear me.. It’s been so so long since I’ve last written so here goes a mesh-up of stuffs… Hehe… Let’s see, it’s been since Chinese New Year that I haven’t posted so spare me for this super backdated post…
Some of the dishes my super mum made for 团圆餐..yum.. Scallops baked in cheese, fried butter prawns, 4 seasons, sharkfin soup etc.. There were say 7-8 dishes on the table that day but since I was too hungry, I dug into and ate the food without finishing taking pictures of them all… Hahaha….. Whoops…
So then I’ll jump off to what’s happening recently in our dental faculty, our annual ADSAlympics where everyone is forced to squeeze out their sporty talents no matter how big or small to do something for their batch.. As for me, I have no sports juice in me whatsoever so I’m in funny events like cheerleading, chess, lontar peluru and tug-of-war.. LOL… I do think it’s rofl-material to take part in these events in a sports competition.. Sigh… Oh wells, do what we can when we can right?? Hehe.. We lost this year in cheer though… *cries* But then, to be able to pull off everything with just 2 weeks of practice is a feat big enough so… at least we look hot don’t we?? Hahahaha…. To the other batches, you all did an amazing job too!!! *applause*
To end this post for now, just wanna show you the latest addition to SP Village Mall… Macaroons!!!! Can’t believe they opened a French pattisiere here… (⊙o⊙) It IS happening here in SP after all!!!

Well then, happy birthday again Philip and hope that one day you’ll outgrow me!! The distant, far “one day”… Lol…
Till next time, “hame hame ha”, ppl!!! *Google it if you seriously do not know what it means.. Don’t say I didn’t help you there!!=p*

Super food galore-Milwaukee steak corner & b’day at Secret Recipe
As promised, an update.. Or more accurately, an update of a gallery of pictures on food and food and more glorious food, lol….
Anyway, to satisfy my craving for western food, my parents so lovingly brought all of us out one night… This was once my favourite place for American style steaks but now I’m just plain disappointed… It’s near Sungai Long, which is really far from Ampang but well worth it the 3 times we went before this.. Now, I wouldn’t even anticipate going there anymore… Sigh, another eatery down… The food was nice I guess but not as nice as the previous visits.. The price has all gone up expectedly but the quality does not live up to the price hike.. Sigh.. And the service is well, he…he…he…I’ll refrain from any wisecrack comments…
It’s a building all by itself with air-conditioned floors with WiFi provided upstairs…
The interior of the place… I missed the Harley Davidson feel it once gave.. Now it’s just plain old boring… I think certain religious group went there accidentally and started bleeding from the nose looking at posters of half-nude women on big bikes and demanded they tone down a bit.. (While taking the posters home as evidence or something.. Sheesh…)
Caesar salad…
Beef burger
Charbroiled ostrich steak, medium rare.. I don’t like this=<
House special charbroiled sirloin steak…
Steamed cod fish with baked cheese on top…
Tempura seafood platter…
I totally forgot what this is called again…whoops…
Conclusion is, the place is quite nice, spacious and the food is reasonably priced (The six of us ate for say around RM 210 excluding taxes) but it just couldn’t stay on top of my list for its category anymore… Such a pity… I never minded its distance from my house and now it just made itself off my list..
Anyway, just a quick post for the person whose birthday we celebrated for, you know who you are..
Failed project of writing this ourselves on the durian cheese cake… The coconut flakes on top is just . . . . The result as you can see is. . . HAHA!!
Japanese soba noodles and Vietnamese chicken chop rice?
Lamb rack with potato
Meatball spaghetti with peach orange milkshake….
Why did I include these photos are coz I’ll give credit to SR for being able to cook nice food in a short time… =p We reached there around 9.45pm and by the time all our orders were taken and the cake written on it’s 10pm and the shop was supposed to close at 10.30pm… (Oh oh….??) But I thoroughly enjoyed all the food there, always had a knack for SR’s food, cakes, drinks and pastries… Aww, the joy….
All in all, I had a great time back home and can’t wait to be back once more… Love all the hustle and bustle, the pollution, traffic jams, people, cars and high-rise building… Miss you already, dear KL!!!
